Inside Design, Simplicity is Not a Style
“Eliminating complexities in your processes, designs, and life creates a more streamlined and effective solution.”
Bruno Munari
“To complicate is easy, to simplify is hard. To complicate, just add, everyone is able to complicate. Few are able to simplify.”
Dieter Rams
“I believe designers should eliminate the unnecessary... Good design is long-lasting. It avoids being fashionable and therefore never appears antiquated.”
Conan O'Brien
“If you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen... do what you love with people you love... it's the definition of heaven on earth.”
Jeremy Keith
“If I have the choice of making something the user's problem, or making it my problem, I’ll make it my problem every time. That’s my job.”

About

With more than twenty years of experience in UI/UX, I design and build intuitive, accessible, and responsive web products. My work includes user interface design, user experience strategy, web development, email marketing, and team leadership. I’ve led projects from concept to execution—defining and guiding strategy, producing creative and deliverables, managing content, and providing creative direction. Using analytics, research, and testing, I’ve improved performance, engagement, and conversions while aligning with organizational goals. I design and code solutions from scratch, guided by a philosophy focused on simplicity to enhance functionality, speed, accessibility, and user engagement. Outside of work, I enjoy riding my bike, cheering for the Orioles, dining out, reading comics, listening to music, and critiquing ‘80s pro wrestling.
